Donating classrooms and scholarships to Lac An Secondary School

Attending the program were Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tang Huu Phong, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Khac Van, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper.

Inauguration and handover of school project

The project consists of 1 ground floor, 2 floors, 6 spacious and comfortable classrooms, funded by Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper and Giang Nam Logistics Joint Stock Company, through the program "Lighting up the faith - Overcoming difficulties to go to school".

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Giang Nam Logistics Joint Stock Company, shared: “The project is designed with 1 ground floor, 2 floors, total construction area of 1,096m2, with a total value of nearly 14.9 billion VND; of which the sponsor contributed more than 7.6 billion VND, the remaining public investment capital of the district is nearly 7.3 billion VND. With all our hearts, we hope that the students will increasingly improve their studies, and take steady steps on the path of education”.

Awarding the project's symbolic plaque to the school

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Phuong, Vice Chairman of Bac Tan Uyen District People's Committee said: "This is a project that demonstrates the solidarity and responsibility of the whole society in education, contributing to improving the quality of education of Binh Duong province in general and Bac Tan Uyen district in particular."

Mr. Tang Huu Phong, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, awarded scholarships to students.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Van, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, presented gifts to students.

Ms. Bui Thi Hong Suong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, awarded scholarships to students.

Mr. Tran Van Phuong, Vice Chairman of Bac Tan Uyen District People's Committee, presented gifts to students.

Through the program “Lighting up the faith - Overcoming difficulties to go to school”, Thien Hanh Investment Joint Stock Company also awarded 50 scholarships (VND 1 million/scholarship) to students in difficult circumstances; sponsored 10 televisions to support the teaching and learning activities of the school. The total value of the sponsorships is VND 200 million.

TH Food Chain Joint Stock Company - TH true MILK has donated 4,800 boxes of fresh milk, worth 42 million VND, to students of Lac An Secondary School.

Ms. Bui Thi Hong Suong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, said: The program "Lighting up the faith - Overcoming difficulties to go to school" initiated and organized by Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper from March 2023 to now has mobilized over 28 billion VND.
