Comrade Lu Cong Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Thach Thi Nhi, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union, Head of the Sports Tournament Organizing Committee, leaders of participating units and athletes attended the opening ceremony.
The sports festival took place over 2 days (May 17 and 18), with 16 grassroots trade union units and 20 teams; including 11 men's mini soccer teams and 9 women's volleyball teams with more than 200 athletes participating.
Comrade Thach Thi Nhi delivered the opening speech of the Sports Tournament.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Sports Tournament, comrade Thach Thi Nhi said: The Sports Tournament is organized as an opportunity for cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, and workers to exchange, practice, improve their health, and exchange experiences in professional work, continuing to respond to the movement "All people practice health following the example of great Uncle Ho".
Comrade Lu Cong Tao presented souvenir flags to the teams participating in the Sports Tournament.
The Head of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament requested that the athletes compete with the spirit of honest sportsmanship, solidarity, nobility, exchange and learn from each other. After the tournament, the grassroots unions continued to encourage members to practice sports, contributing to promoting the development of the province's sports movement.
