Since 2017, due to the impact of storm No. 10, the sea dike line of Thinh Long and Con Tron, Hai Hau district, former Nam Dinh province has suffered serious erosion. To protect the sea dike line from the impact of natural disasters, in October 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) approved component project No. 2 of Con Tron sea dike, Hai Thinh, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province (now Hai Hau commune, Ninh Binh province) under the Project to consolidate, complete and handle erosion of sea dikes in some Northern provinces. The total investment of the project is 500 billion VND.
To speed up the construction progress of Thinh Long sea dike, the contractor has mobilized workers and many machines and equipment to cast concrete components, install components of the T-shaped dike wing and construct wave-reducing platforms...
During the summer days of May and June, the weather was extremely hot, but at the construction site of the Project to strengthen, complete and handle landslides on the Con Tron and Hai Thinh sea dykes, the team of engineers and workers still worked hard with the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", striving to complete the items according to plan so that the project could soon be put into operation, meeting the requirements of natural disaster prevention and control.
The project to strengthen, complete and handle landslides in Con Tron and Hai Thinh sea dykes (Hai Hau commune) was invested in construction to prevent landslides, reduce waves, create sandbanks, and enhance the safety of the existing sea dyke to protect residents and essential infrastructure inside the dyke; serve the prevention and control of natural disasters, and rescue sea dykes in case of incidents.
