We returned to Bai Tranh commune in the historic days of May. In the concentrated fruit tree area of ​​the commune, which was planned to cover nearly 60 hectares, the lush green orange and grapefruit gardens have been creating jobs for many local workers, bringing economic efficiency.

With the advantage of a natural land area of ​​more than 2,500 hectares, of which agricultural and forestry land is considered fertile, with a thick arable layer, suitable for large-scale agricultural and forestry development investment, especially growing fruit trees. Along with that, Bai Tranh has 2 important traffic routes running through the area: Ho Chi Minh Road and the crossroad connecting Nghi Son port with Ho Chi Minh Road, which is very convenient for regional and regional exchanges and convenient for developing business services.

Bai Tranh commune currently has 1,348 households with 5,145 people, mainly 4 ethnic groups: Kinh, Thai, Tho, Muong living together in solidarity. Over 20 years of establishment and development, implementing the Party's renovation policy, cadres, party members and people of Bai Tranh have joined hands to build their homeland more and more beautiful. Currently, the infrastructure of electricity, roads, schools and stations has been completed. The economy has developed remarkably, the production value growth rate is over 12%. People's lives are constantly improving. Me village and Choi Tron village have risen up to escape from being particularly difficult villages. The economic structure of the commune has so far had a positive shift in the right direction, promoting the potential advantages of land and people of the locality.

Along with the economy, culture andeducation of Bai Tranh commune have also made remarkable progress. The whole commune has 3 solidified schools to ensure good service for teaching and learning. The cultural identity of ethnic minorities has been restored, preserved and promoted.

The movement of solidarity to help each other do business, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and enrich legitimately has been identified by the Party Committee as one of the key tasks of the emulation movements. From there, regularly mobilize the People to effectively implement the economic development policy in a fast, strong, sustainable and comprehensive manner in all areas considered to be the potential and advantages of the locality. The work of building the Party and the political system at all levels is regularly cared for and consolidated. Along with the comprehensive development of the homeland, the Bai Tranh Party Committee is also increasingly growing in quantity and quality. Promoting the role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in propaganda and mobilization work to exemplary members in patriotic emulation movements, creating consensus among the People.

Join hands to build new rural areas

The highlight of Bai Tranh land is that the New Rural Construction movement has received consensus and support from the entire political system. In 2012, Bai Tranh was selected as one of 117 key communes in the province to implement the national target program of New Rural Construction. The Party Committee and the government have reviewed the criteria, developed action plans with key solution groups that are close to the local situation, paid due attention to infrastructure criteria to create conditions for socio-economic development, in line with the aspirations of the people, so it has always received the people's approval. People actively compete, contribute, donate land to build rural roads, repair and upgrade village cultural houses, renovate green - clean - beautiful village roads, form flower roads to create a friendly environment, a livable countryside, compete to complete the New Rural Construction criteria, achieving 2 - 3 criteria each year. In 2015, Bai Tranh was recognized as a commune meeting NTM standards.

Promoting the achieved results, the Party Committee, the government and the people continue to build advanced new rural areas with the motto "Building new rural areas has only a starting point, not an ending point". With a total budget mobilized to implement the new rural area construction program for the period of 2021-2024 reaching 185 billion VND, up to now, 88% of village roads and alleys have been concreted, 14.5 km of residential lighting lines have been upgraded and renovated; 7 new cultural houses have been built, 3 village cultural houses have been renovated to meet standards, 2 products have met 3-star OCOP standards, 2 concentrated safe vegetable production areas have met VietGAP standards. 10/10 villages have met the standards of new rural areas, of which 5 villages have been recognized as model new rural areas. Therefore, in 2023, Bai Tranh commune was recognized as a commune achieving advanced new rural areas.

Up to now, the commune has successfully completed the goal of building a commune meeting advanced NTM standards and 5 model NTM villages. The average growth rate of production value in the period 2004-2010 reached 21%, in the period 2011-2023 reached 20%; average income per capita increased from 3.5 million VND in 2004 to over 60 million VND in 2024, striving to reach 66.1 million VND in 2025; poverty rate 0.5; near-poverty rate 0.29%.
