Hanging more than 1,000 banners and vertical pennants in response to Earth Hour 2024

(HG) - In order to promote activities on promoting the use of energy economically and efficiently, raising awareness of electricity saving in the province, Hau Giang Electricity Company said that from March 18 to 25, it will install 1,200 vertical flags and 50 banners promoting Earth Hour 2024 on electricity poles and public lighting poles in the area.

Vertical flags are hung on electric poles and public lighting poles in Vi Thanh city.

In Vi Thanh city, the unit will hang 500 vertical flags and 8 banners on the route from the roundabout of the overpass along Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue to Vo Van Kiet to 3 Thang 2 Street, Tran Hung Dao to Hau Giang Provincial General Hospital. The remaining districts and towns will each hang 100 vertical flags and 6 banners on electric poles and public lighting poles on the main roads within the districts and towns.

The Earth Hour 2024 event takes place from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 23, 2024 (Saturday) with the message "Saving electricity - Making it a habit". During the Earth Hour 2023 campaign, the whole country saved 298,000 kWh of electricity (equivalent to about 555.6 million VND).
