The power of AI and Big Data was a topic that attracted much attention at the event “HR Tech Conference 2023: Leveraging a sustainable future by digitizing talent management”, which was held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 30.
According to Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, General Director of TopCV Vietnam Joint Stock Company, a year ago, talking about the story of AI application in recruitment and human resources was really difficult to explain. But in the present era, when we are too familiar with platforms like ChatGPT, a simple example, if you type the keyword "how to write a job description (JD) for a position, such as digital marketing", you will immediately have an extremely beautiful JD without having to copy it anywhere.
Mr. Hieu said that this is an example of AI with very high applicability and AI is no longer a story in the cloud, no longer a story of the future, but AI has entered life. That is a fact and whether we like it or not, everyone is having to accept AI tools to support them to live and work more effectively.
TopCV representative shared that in the past 5-10 years, the company has observed many models in the world about recruitment stories but has not found the best model. Fortunately, outside the recruitment field, the company has found a very excellent model that is very suitable for the way it is going, which is Google.
According to Mr. Hieu, Google, 20 years ago, began its mission of connecting billions of people with billions of billions of data records, so that in just 0.01 seconds users can find the results they want. That is very similar to the millions of workers and millions of businesses that are recruiting, how to connect them with the right people for the right job in just 0.01 seconds. Secondly, up to now, with the development of AI, Google has taken a huge new step forward with advertisers.
They can create a fully automated AI ad from content to image very simply. But the important thing is not to create a beautiful image, not to create good content, but that content and image must reach the right audience they want to advertise to.
Google has done it. About 2-3 years ago, when Google introduced this feature, they wrote Vietnamese content that businesses could not understand, let alone customers. But now, they have written to the point that even a person with extensive writing experience might not recognize that it was written by a machine. They have done it in just 3 years.
The future of software and solutions will certainly integrate AI as a background component running underneath any product or service. So that when customers use and interact, they will not need to ask the question "Am I being used by AI or by what?", but more importantly, AI will be a process, a technology that helps promote the transformation process and increase customer efficiency in a better way.
Mr. Vu Nhat Anh, Deputy General Director and Director of Products and Technology, TopCV Vietnam Joint Stock Company added that from Google's story, it can be seen that AI and Big Data will create success and create transformation.
According to him, 2021 also marks a milestone when TopCV officially launched the Smart Recruitment Platform, a platform that deeply applies AI and Recruitment Marketing.
With this platform, when applying AI and Big Data, at present, 60% of the efficiency created on the platform is affected by AI. And with 1,000,000 applications, about 600,000 applications are affected by AI. That is how the company develops and creates breakthrough growth. Compared to around 2020-2021, before launching the Smart Recruitment Platform, the company's connectivity has increased by more than 500%. And it is the impact of AI and Big Data. That is also the result achieved when the company chooses to apply technology to solve the recruitment problem instead of traditional methods.
Mr. Vu Nhat Anh said that in reality, when a job posting is posted on his company's platform, that job posting will be delivered to job seekers, on more than 20 AI-coordinated touch points, meaning there is not just a list of job posting search results, but more than 20 touch points on the product from the website to the mobile app. That is how TopCV brings suitable job postings from customers to job seekers. And the company does not want to stop there when the number of customers will increase.
The problem continues to arise when the number of customers increases, the scale will increase, the business needs to recruit 50 people, 100 people at a time. Besides the budget, the problem for AI and Big Data is whether they can solve the problem of optimizing time or not?
To solve this problem, TopCV has developed CV Parsing technology. This is a basic technology and can be applied in many places. Currently, CV Parsing can reduce 90% of data entry time for business employees, if they are still entering data manually.

It can enter both English and Vietnamese CVs. It can even do it if they are mixed together,” Mr. Vu Nhat Anh shared.
