(BTV) On the morning of January 10th, the Provincial Military Service Council held a conference to review the leadership, direction, and implementation of military recruitment, reserve force building, and weapons and military equipment management in 2024, and to deploy tasks for 2025. Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council, presided over the conference. Attending the conference were: Major General Le Xuan Thuan, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region I; Colonel Nghiem Dinh Trung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, and Vice Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council; Nguyen Thi Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Colonel Bui Duy Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Provincial Police; and leaders of various departments, agencies, and localities in the province.
Overview of the conference
In 2025, Bac Ninh province was assigned a quota of 1,650 citizens to enlist in the Army and 266 citizens to serve in the People's Public Security Force, with the recruitment expected to take place on February 13, 2025 (the 16th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Snake). To date, the recruitment and conscription process has been completed by all districts, towns, and cities in the province, including preliminary screening, health examinations, and is currently undergoing political and moral vetting. The Provincial Military Service Council assessed that the recruitment process was carried out rigorously and seriously. On December 18, 2024, the Provincial Military Command and the receiving units signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the handover of conscripts for 2025, agreeing on the number, geographical areas, selection criteria (age, political background, health, education, temporary deferment and exemption from conscription), regulations on the organization of the handover of new recruits, conscription dossiers, logistics, military equipment, and transportation of conscripts to their units.

Regarding the work of building the reserve mobilization force, close coordination has been maintained with units receiving demobilized soldiers; advice and guidance have been provided to localities to organize solemn welcoming ceremonies for returning soldiers, and coordination with receiving units has been carried out to conduct verification, appointments, dismissals, demobilization, health examinations, mobilization of reserve soldiers for training, and payment of benefits and policies as prescribed. At the same time, guidance has been given to agencies and units to ensure the proper, sufficient, and timely reception, management, and use of weapons, equipment, and supporting military supplies in accordance with regulations.
At the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council requested delegates to focus on discussing and evaluating the results of the recruitment and conscription process over the past period; and to discuss and issue a Resolution on the implementation of military recruitment tasks in 2025.
