(DN) - The Department of Science and Technology has just issued Document No. 1686/SoKHCN-CN dated June 23, 2025 on the deployment of internet infrastructure to serve the arrangement of administrative units and new communes after the merger.

Accordingly, based on the results of reviewing and evaluating the quality of the transmission system for trial operation in 5 new wards and communes according to Plan No. 447-KH/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Department of Science and Technology recommends that the People's Committees of districts and cities, based on the common network design model, guide the communes and wards selected as commune-level administrative headquarters after the merger to deploy at least 2 internet lines of different telecommunications enterprises, depending on the actual situation of the locality, ensuring the total bandwidth connecting the lines of at least 1 Gbps to ensure continuity, stability and uninterrupted internet service at the wards and communes after the merger.

Previously, the Department of Science and Technology also issued a document guiding the internal network (LAN) model at the People's Committees of wards and communes of Dong Nai province to serve the arrangement of administrative units and new communes after the merger.
