The exhibition takes place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command, the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the Mausoleum (August 29, 1975 - August 29, 2025); towards welcoming the 11th Congress of the Party Committee of the 969th Youth Union, term 2025 - 2030; the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The exhibition displays 150 precious and unique photos and documents introducing to the people and international visitors the journey of more than 55 years of preserving President Ho Chi Minh's body; the process of building and inaugurating the Mausoleum; the special political task of long-term preservation and absolute safety protection of President Ho Chi Minh's body; the coordination of activities of forces in the Ba Dinh Historical - Cultural Relic Complex; especially the glorious tradition and achievements of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Soldiers over 50 years of construction, striving and growing.

Major General Pham Van Hieu, Party Secretary of Group 969, Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command, delivered the opening speech of the photo exhibition.
Through the exhibition, compatriots and international visitors will understand more about the duties of soldiers at Uncle Ho's Mausoleum; contribute to orienting and fostering patriotism, educating revolutionary traditions for all classes of people, especially the young generation, to have firm faith in the leadership of the Party, State and Army.
The exhibition is divided into 4 parts:
Part 1: Following His Footsteps - The Journey to Save the Country
Part 2: Uncle Ho's Mausoleum - A work of the people's hearts and the Party's will
Part 3: 50 years of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Soldiers - Complete loyalty and filial piety
Part 4: Uncle Ho's Mausoleum in the hearts of the people and international friends.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Major General Pham Van Hieu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Group 969, Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command, said that through the valuable documents and artifacts, viewers will learn more about the process of preserving President Ho Chi Minh's body over the past 55 years: From the time our Party and Government leaders held talks with the Party and Government of the Soviet Union to train doctors and prepare for the long-term preservation of his body until now.

The photos and documents have shown the deep affection of the Soviet Party and Government for President Ho Chi Minh over the past half century. Soviet experts in the past and Russian experts today have always stood side by side with the Vietnamese people to preserve President Ho Chi Minh's body, both during wartime and in peacetime.
All are demonstrated through authentic and vivid photos recorded over the past 5 decades: our Party and Government leaders working with Soviet experts, Soviet experts beside President Ho's body; activities of Institute 69 with all-round assistance from Russian experts.

Viewers also learned about the process of building the Mausoleum as well as the sentiments of the people at home and abroad towards the great leader of the Vietnamese people through photos of leaders of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense participating in the construction of the Mausoleum; Truong Son soldiers transporting wood to contribute to the construction of Uncle Ho's Mausoleum;...
In addition, viewers also learn about the activities of the forces in the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command and the Ba Dinh Historical and Cultural Relic Complex.

The exhibition attracted the attention of local people and international tourists.
"Through precious images and typical documents about the process of building the Mausoleum of the President, medical work, technical work, security, ceremonies, reception and propaganda; taking care of the flower garden, ornamental plants, lawns, and environmental sanitation at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command; the achievements of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command during the performance of its duties, we will appreciate the past more, cherish and protect the great achievements of the revolution, and be more deeply and infinitely grateful for the great contributions of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh," Major General Pham Van Hieu emphasized.
The exhibition runs until August 20, 2025.
