Exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh – Symbol of Peace and Friendship” in Japan

On May 23, the exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh – Symbol of Peace and Friendship” opened at the Vietnam Exhibition Hall at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

The exhibition is organized by the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace in coordination with the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 52nd anniversary of the official establishment of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations.

Attending the event on the Vietnamese side were Mr. Ngo Trinh Ha, Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka; Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Deputy General Representative of Vietnam at EXPO 2025; Ms. Le Thi Phuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace. On the Japanese side were Mr. Oono Masafumi, Director in charge of exchange promotion, Department of Economic Strategy, Osaka City Government; Mr. Koga Koichi, Secretary General of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region. In addition, there were representatives of leaders of a number of exhibitors at EXPO, the Vietnamese community in Osaka and international friends.

Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy General Representative of Vietnam at EXPO 2025 and Ms. Le Thi Phuong, Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace spoke at the event.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation Tran Nhat Hoang said that this is the first time an exhibition about President Ho Chi Minh has been held at a world exhibition. “The whole life of President Ho Chi Minh is a living testament to his dedication to work and his aspiration to contribute to the country and humanity for a better world – values ​​that are completely in tune with the theme and spirit of EXPO 2025,” emphasized the Deputy Representative General of Vietnam at EXPO 2025.

Ms. Le Thi Phuong, Director of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace, said that the exhibition introduces to visitors to EXPO 2025 valuable documents and images, reflecting the life, career, thoughts and feelings of President Ho Chi Minh - a great leader but extremely close and simple. Through this, Japanese and international people can feel more deeply about his personality, thoughts and feelings towards the people of the world in general and Japan in particular.

On this occasion, Ms. Le Thi Phuong invited delegates to visit President Ho Chi Minh's residence and workplace in Hanoi in the near future to learn more about his simple yet great life, as well as about the beautiful, peaceful and hospitable country of Vietnam.

The exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh – Symbol of Peace and Friendship” will take place from May 23-25 ​​at the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch valuable films about diplomacy under the Ho Chi Minh era, through documents and images, learn about the 30-year journey to find a way to save the country of Nguyen Tat Thanh – Nguyen Ai Quoc – President Ho Chi Minh – the great leader of the Vietnamese people, the builder of international solidarity; Uncle Ho's legacies at the Presidential Palace – a "destination" in diplomatic relations, where the affection of the people and international friends converge. After EXPO 2025, the exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh will continue to take place in Fukuoka City, Japan from May 28-29.
