The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology announced that the exhibition "National strategic technology products in Ho Chi Minh City" will officially open at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials on October 13. This is an exhibition space to welcome the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - Confidently and firmly entering a new era, the era of national growth".
The event introduces outstanding achievements in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, portraying the image of a dynamic, creative and internationally integrated Ho Chi Minh City.
Yesterday afternoon (October 11), a working delegation of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee came to inspect the preparations at the exhibition area, suggesting some vivid ways of expression and performance so that visiting delegates could feel the scientific and technological development of Ho Chi Minh City.

The exhibition gathered nearly 30 booths with more than 650 products and solutions belonging to 11 strategic technology groups. These are advanced technologies and solutions from leading corporations and enterprises, contributing to the formation of a smart and modern Ho Chi Minh City.

In the fields of information technology, electronics, AI and IoT, enterprises such as CMC , Viettel, QTSC, Mobifone introduced AI ecosystems, digital transformation platforms, cybersecurity solutions, administrative robots, smart kiosks and advanced Edge AI cameras.

The smart healthcare and biomedical equipment sector attracted delegates with the da Vinci Xi surgical robot system, the Modus V Synaptive robot applying AI, and IoT-integrated healthcare and vaccine solutions. Sustainable development based on science and technology
In the period of 2021 - 2025, Ho Chi Minh City recorded impressive results, affirming its economic role and leading innovation center in the country and region.
The digital economy is a key growth driver, expected to contribute 25% to GRDP by 2025.
On prestigious rankings, Ho Chi Minh City has continuously been listed in high positions, ranking 2nd in the country in terms of provincial digital transformation index and local innovation index. Ho Chi Minh City's creative startup ecosystem is recognized as 5th in Southeast Asia and 110th globally.
The Department of Science and Technology said that in the 2025 - 2030 period, Ho Chi Minh City sets a strategic goal of becoming an international innovation center, with the digital economy accounting for 30 - 40% of GRDP and total factor productivity (TFP) contributing 60% to growth.
To realize this vision, Ho Chi Minh City will focus on three key breakthrough solutions: creating mechanisms, policies and attracting investment; focusing on strategic technology and innovation ecosystem; on digital governance and digital human resources.
With these strategic orientations, Ho Chi Minh City strives to become a leading center of science, technology and innovation, contributing to building a digital economic ecosystem, green economy, circular economy, sustainable development and deep integration with the global knowledge economy.
