On the morning of October 13, the preparatory session of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 took place at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials.

Before the preparatory session, the delegation led by Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, visited the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs' Cemetery (Long Binh Ward) and offered flowers at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh (Sai Gon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
At the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs' Cemetery, the delegation respectfully offered the heroic Vietnamese mothers and heroic martyrs a wreath with the words: "The delegation attending the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 respectfully pays their respects".

The delegation observed a minute of silence, offered incense in memory of heroic Vietnamese mothers and heroic martyrs, and expressed their infinite gratitude to compatriots, cadres, and soldiers who fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
After the flower and incense offering ceremony, delegates lit incense sticks at the graves of heroic martyrs to remember and show gratitude.

The delegation also offered flowers and observed a minute of silence in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh statue on Nguyen Hue walking street (Saigon ward).

After that, the delegation moved to the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials to begin the preparatory session of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. The Congress took place from October 13 - 15 with 550 delegates summoned.
The Congress will focus on evaluating the implementation results of the Resolution of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and the directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress will also review the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
In addition, the congress will discuss and contribute opinions to the documents of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and the documents of the 14th National Party Congress.
