In his closing speech, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said that with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Compassion - Development", the Congress completed all the contents and programs set out in accordance with the instructions of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Congress listened to 5 presentations and 122 opinions expressed in the hall and groups.
All opinions expressed enthusiasm and high responsibility for the work of the front, and expressed agreement on the summary report, comprehensive, objective and frank assessment of the results achieved as well as the limitations that need to be overcome; agreement with the resolution and action program, as well as the directions and key tasks of the new term.
Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc acknowledged that the 2025-2030 term is an important period in the context of the nation entering a new period with new opportunities and fortunes; celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam ...
He suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all city levels promote its core political role in building the great national unity bloc, propagating, mobilizing, gathering people of all walks of life, and strengthening social consensus to contribute to the successful implementation of the political goals of the country and the City.
The Congress assigned the task to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2025-2030 term, together with the commune-level front, to urgently organize the study and thoroughly grasp the Congress Resolution, turning the spirit of the Resolution into action programs and specific plans, appropriate to the conditions of each locality, organization and unit.
Accordingly, the Resolution and Action Program for the 2025-2030 term of the City Fatherland Front have 9 targets, 6 action programs and 2 key programs.
"This is the high political determination of the entire Vietnam Fatherland Front system in Ho Chi Minh City in implementing the Party's policies and guidelines, the city's policies and the work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front," Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized.
The Congress democratically consulted and unanimously elected 146 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2025-2030 term.
Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, continues to be elected as Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee for the new term.
On behalf of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2025-2030 term, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc expressed his sense of honor, pride and responsibility.
He emphasized that the new term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will promote its intelligence, uphold its responsibility to overcome all difficulties, strive to successfully complete assigned political tasks; focus on synchronously and creatively implementing tasks and solutions, maintaining solidarity, unanimity and consensus; successfully implement the goals, directions and tasks set out by the Congress, thereby building a great national solidarity bloc in the city to develop more and more sustainably.
The Congress also agreed to elect a delegation to attend the 1st National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including 30 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.
At the Congress, comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "For the poor, leaving no one behind", period 2021-2025.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City also commended typical collectives and individuals who have been joining hands to support the people of the central region to overcome natural disasters, spreading the tradition of affection of the people of the city named after Uncle Ho.
