Attending the Congress were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to India and concurrently to Bhutan and Nepal Nguyen Thanh Hai, representatives of the Party Committee, the Embassy of Vietnam, Vietnamese associations in India and 50 official delegates.
At the first session, the Congress consulted and elected the Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Students' Association in India, term I, 2025-2027.
Speaking at the online Congress, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Student Association Lam Tung stated: Currently, there are about more than 230 thousand Vietnamese students and international students studying in 49 countries around the world .
To date, the Vietnamese Student Association system abroad has had 15 organizations with more than 150,000 members and students. The establishment of the Vietnamese Student Association in India has increased the total number of organizations to 16 units.
"This is an important milestone, demonstrating the development of the Vietnamese student movement abroad, and at the same time meeting the legitimate wishes and aspirations of a large number of Vietnamese students in India for an official representative organization," Comrade Lam Tung emphasized.
Also according to the Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Student Association, from now on, the Vietnam Student Association in India will join with Association organizations around the world to carry out the mission of solidarity, widely gathering Vietnamese students at home and abroad, educating and orienting young people to have comprehensive development, becoming high-quality human resources participating in the process of building and developing the country.
