[Video] “Weekend Music” Project: New cultural meeting place by Hoan Kiem Lake

On the afternoon of November 30, at the Octagonal House - Ly Thai To Flower Garden, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports launched the "Weekend Music" project. This is not only a performance stage, but also a strategic step to bring high-quality art closer to the public, contributing to positioning the brand "Creative City".

The first melodies resounded in the space of Hoan Kiem Lake heritage, opening a series of new community art programs every weekend. The event was attended by City leaders, leaders of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports , representatives of departments, branches and the public.

Speaking at the program, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Bach Lien Huong emphasized that the project aims to create a familiar cultural meeting place, where music resonates in the midst of historical space, so that the community can relax and connect with art naturally.

The opening program attracted attention with Meritorious Artist Quyen Van Minh and Binh Minh Jazz Club along with lecturers and students creating a fusion between experience and youth. Modern jazz sounds blended with the ancient space of Hoan Kiem Lake to create an emotional artistic space.

The project is expected to expand to a variety of genres such as folk, chamber, classical and pop music, serving many groups of audiences. “Weekend Music” is expected to become a new cultural landmark, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people and promoting the image of Hanoi – cultured, creative and hospitable.
