The exhibition took place at Vietnam University of Fine Arts.
This is an exhibition of works created at the art studio of artist Yandi Monardo and his colleagues in early September. The event was organized by the Embassy of Uruguay in Vietnam in collaboration with the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts, and the Institute of American Studies, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Uruguay (1993-2023).
Speaking at the exhibition, Vice Principal in charge of Vietnam University of Fine Arts Dang Thi Phong Lan affirmed that this is a meaningful event for the school; an opportunity for Vietnamese lecturers, artists and students to learn about Uruguayan culture and art; work, exchange experiences and creative techniques with artist Yandi Monardo and his colleagues.
The exhibition includes 43 artworks, including 3 works by artist Yandi Monardo; 9 works by collaborators and 31 works by artists and students of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts.
Through this art workshop and exhibition, Vietnamese artists and students can work, exchange experiences and creative techniques with Uruguayan artists, practice with familiar materials from canvas, pen, acrylic... to natural materials such as sand, with techniques of sprinkling, flaking, using nails to create lines... to create unique works, demonstrating the cultural and artistic connection between Vietnam and Uruguay.
The exhibition ended on September 28. After the exhibition, the works of artist Yandi Monardo and his colleagues were presented to the units that coordinated the organization of art practice workshops.
