Numerous types of fake documents were seized in a nationwide ring involved in "forging seals and documents of organizations and agencies."
The Thai Binh City Police have just issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings, indict the suspects, and issue arrest warrants for temporary detention against 5 individuals.
These individuals include: Nguyen Son Thanh (born in 1991, residing in Quat Lam town, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province); Hoang Thai Tuan (born in 1999, residing in Ward 13, Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City); Le Bao Tin (born in 1997, residing in Hoa Thanh ward, Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City); Vu Thanh Sang (born in 1994, residing in Ward 12, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City); and Pham Trung Thanh (born in 1983, residing in Minh Lang commune, Vu Thu district, Thai Binh province).
During the investigation, the police determined that the ring producing counterfeit seals and documents of state agencies had been operating since August 2022, led by Nguyen Son Thanh. The suspects posted comments on Facebook and ran advertisements on Google offering to produce fake diplomas and other documents. To deliver the fake documents to customers, Nguyen Son Thanh colluded with Le Bao Tin (a post office manager at a courier company) to transport the counterfeit documents and chose to accept payment via bank transfer.
During an emergency search of the workplaces and residences of the aforementioned individuals, the police seized 2 laptops, 7 mobile phones, 2 color printers, 18 seals, and numerous forged documents, diplomas, and papers from state agencies.
The case is currently being investigated and handled by the authorities in accordance with the law.
Through this case, the police advise people to absolutely not order or use counterfeit documents, because using counterfeit documents will be dealt with according to the law, and may result in criminal prosecution for the crime of using counterfeit seals and documents of agencies and organizations.
