The old year passed with many difficulties and challenges, but our country still achieved great achievements. Contributing to that common achievement, the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Giang cannot help but be proud when looking back at the results achieved in socio-economic development of the province in the past year. Under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the people of all ethnic groups in Ha Giang have united, bringing the province's socio-economic development to continue to develop stably. The economic growth rate is estimated to increase by over 5% compared to 2022. Total social investment capital reached 15,077.4 billion VND, an increase of 10.85% over the same period. Tourism grew strongly, the number of visitors to the province reached 3 million, an increase of 32% compared to 2022. Import-export turnover reached 293.58 million USD, an increase of 3.5 times compared to 2022.

2023 is the mid-term year to implement the targets of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress. Party committees and authorities at all levels have constantly innovated their thinking, been proactive and creative in leadership and administration, and strengthened the building and rectification of the Party and a clean and strong political system. Effectively implemented the socio-economic recovery and development program and 3 national target programs; promptly removed difficulties and obstacles for businesses and supported people in developing production and business. Started many new key projects and works, especially the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project (phase 1). Well implemented policies for people with meritorious services, reduced poverty, ensured social security, and improved people's lives.

A peaceful and prosperous new spring is coming with clear changes from the city center to remote villages, difficult areas, and borders of the province. Economic regions are moving strongly in thinking and action to break through and rise up. In particular, the lowland areas including Vi Xuyen, Bac Quang, Quang Binh districts and the center of Ha Giang city focus on exploiting agricultural potential associated with high technology application, developing citrus fruit trees such as Vang oranges, Sanh oranges, and raising livestock on a family and farm scale. The western districts, Hoang Su Phi and Xin Man focus on developing the Shan Tuyet tea brand, high-quality rice associated with eco-tourism. The northern highland districts promote the advantages of the UNESCO Global Geopark of Dong Van Karst Plateau associated with tourism development; Developing a chain of links for raising yellow cows, black pigs, mint honey... The economic potentials that have been awakened have contributed to changing the face of the northernmost countryside, bringing a prosperous spring to every household.
Spring comes, hundreds of flowers bloom, thousands of trees sprout and grow. Spring also awakens in each person expectations of new development and success. That aspiration begins from the bamboo hedges and alleys with the bright appearance of the New Rural Area. The aspiration for development also spreads to the remote highlands and borders, arousing the spirit of great national unity to join hands and unite to firmly protect the borders of the Fatherland. The sovereignty of the national border is strong not only in the territory of the land, mountains and rivers of the Fatherland but also in the citadel of the people's hearts, so that the springs at the border are always peaceful.
The country steadily enters the new year 2024 with the aspiration to reap many achievements. Sharing that spirit, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Ha Giang continue to promote the strength of great solidarity, self-reliance, self-reliance, synchronously and effectively carry out socio-economic development tasks. Mobilize and effectively use all resources to promote economic growth. Focus on implementing 3 breakthroughs and 5 key tasks set by the province. Strive for a gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate of 7.5% in 2024; average gross regional domestic product income per capita of 40 million VND; and the poverty rate to decrease by over 4%.
This spring morning, on the border, peach and pear blossoms have dyed the forests red. Spring is bringing a breath of fresh air to everyone, adding will and aspiration for a new journey of struggle. Continuing the victory of 2023, along with the strong aspiration to rise up, we believe that in the new year, the northernmost homeland will continue to reap even greater achievements, bringing happy springs to the people.
