According to the new fee announcement released by UEFA, the main referees at Euro 2024 will receive a salary of 5,000 euros (about 140 million VND) for each match officiated in the group stage and 10,000 euros (280 million VND) in the round of 16. As for the assistant and fourth referee, their bonus will be 2,500 euros in the group stage and 5,000 euros from the round of 16 onwards. For teams that only participate in Euro 2024, they will receive 9.25 million euros. A win in the group stage is 1 million euros and 500,000 euros for a draw. Each team that reaches the round of 16 will receive 1.5 million euros, reaching the quarter-finals 2.5 million euros. Participating in the semi-finals will receive 4 million euros, runners-up 5 million euros and winning the championship will receive 8 million euros. Spain are currently the biggest winners with a total of 16.25 million euros, as they were the only team to win all three group stage matches before crushing Georgia 4-1 in the round of 16. With this bonus, each Spanish player has been divided at least 255,000 euros. If Spain can defeat Germany in the semi-finals, each player will receive a bonus of up to 300,000 euros and more than 400,000 euros if they win the championship. Coach De la Fuente and the Spanish coaching staff will also receive a bonus of more than 600,000 euros if they win the championship. Clubs with players participating in Euro 2024 will also receive compensation of about 140 million euros from UEFA. It is known that all this money is thanks to the "gold mine" Euro, the profit of this tournament is even higher than the Champions League and any other tournament. Euro 2024 TV rights will bring UEFA up to 1.44 billion euros, while the commercial side is 568 million euros. Not to mention UEFA will earn an additional 300 million euros from ticket sales. Revenue related to stadiums alone can reach 100 million euros, making the UEFA-made machine generate nearly 2.5 billion euros.
