China considers Vietnam a priority in its neighborly diplomacy.

(Dan Tri) - "China is willing to strengthen strategic exchanges with Vietnam, promoting sustainable and long-term development of relations between the two Parties and two countries," Mr. Wang Huning emphasized when meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh .
During his official visit to China, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning. Delighted with the positive developments in the relations between the two Parties and countries in recent times, the two sides discussed and agreed on measures to strengthen the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries in many fields, including exchanges and cooperation between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. According to the head of the Vietnamese Government, Vietnam and China are two close neighbors, "mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers". The Party, State and people of the two countries have given each other valuable support and assistance in the past struggle for national independence and in the construction of socialism today. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to maintaining and developing the Vietnam - China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, considering this a consistent, strategic, long-term policy and a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy. Proposing that the two sides continue to maintain regular high-level exchanges and contacts, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also hopes to expand cooperation between localities, organize friendly meetings and people-to-people exchanges to promote tourism cooperation, and soon restore it to the pre-Covid-19 period. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference increase experience exchanges to promote the best and most effective role of the Front/CPPCC in the political life of each country. He also suggested that the two sides consider organizing the second Friendship Exchange between the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and localities sharing the border of the two countries. Mr. Wang Huning also affirmed that Vietnam and China are important neighbors of each other, sharing broad common interests. He emphasized that China always considers Vietnam a priority direction in its neighborly diplomacy policy, is ready to strengthen strategic exchanges with Vietnam, and promote the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries to continuously develop sustainably and long-term. Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning pledged that the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference always supports the enhancement of people-to-people exchanges; expand economic, trade, investment cooperation, and connect transport infrastructure; improve the frequency and quality of cooperation between localities. This agency is also willing to work with the Vietnam Fatherland Front to strengthen exchanges, cooperation, experience sharing, and actively contribute to the development of the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
