Mid-Autumn Festival is coming to every countryside of Ha Tinh in the excitement and anticipation of children. The full moon shines brighter and more sparkling when it brings the full love and sharing of the community to the less fortunate children.

Moon-watching festival in border villages
Located in the Vietnam - Laos border area, Phu Lam village (Phu Gia commune, Huong Khe) is more than 12 km from the commune center. In recent years, the Mid-Autumn Festival for the children in the village has simply been a small party with some candies and local snacks. The dream of a full moon festival or games and watching art performances is a distant dream for them.
However, this year, children here have enjoyed a bustling, colorful, joyful and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.
Phu Lam village children eagerly participate in the program "Moon of Love".
Phan Thi Sao Mai (grade 2, Phu Gia Primary School) excitedly said: “Before, I only saw the brilliant Mid-Autumn Festival program on TV. Today, I am very happy to see with my own eyes the performance of Hang and Cuoi, the lion dance, and the feast. We also received scholarships and meaningful gifts.”
The program that Sao Mai and her friends in the village participated in was “The Moon of Love” organized by Bui Cafe and Ha Tinh Newspaper in collaboration with Huong Khe District Youth Union and the Provincial Police Investigation Office on the evening of August 17.
Units: Ha Tinh Newspaper, Bui Cafe, Provincial Police Investigation Office and accompanying units, benefactors presented 160 gifts to 160 children in Phu Lam village.
Mr. Tran Xuan Vu - Owner of Bui Cafe (Ha Tinh City), representative of the organizing and sponsoring units said: "Mid-Autumn Festival is a festival of family reunion, a festival for parents and relatives to care for their children. However, for many children in remote areas, life is still difficult and deprived, they often suffer disadvantages. Therefore, we want to bring poor children in Phu Lam village a warm and meaningful atmosphere, helping them have beautiful memories of their childhood and Mid-Autumn Festival...".
Carefully prepared, the program "Moon of Love" brought to poor children in Phu Lam village many special performances with the participation of artists such as Thai Hoc, Khanh Ha, magicians, lion dance team... In addition, the program also gave 470 gifts and scholarships to poor students who overcame difficulties and local people.
Sparkling sharing from the community
Although the full moon day of August has not yet arrived, the sound of frog drums welcoming the Mid-Autumn Festival has resounded throughout the countryside of Ha Tinh. That is when authorities at all levels, mass organizations, and charitable organizations... are preparing for the Mid-Autumn Festival for children.
Ha Tinh Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company organizes the Mid-Autumn Festival program "Full Moon Festival Night".
Since early September 2023, the Provincial People's Committee has issued Plan No. 381/KH-UBND dated September 9, 2023 to organize Mid-Autumn Festival activities. Accordingly, the plan aims to raise awareness, responsibility, and participation of families, schools, communities, and the whole society in implementing children's rights and responsibilities according to the provisions of the Law on Children and regulations on child protection, care, andeducation .
Thereby creating opportunities and conditions for all children to participate in joyful, healthy, beneficial and equal Mid-Autumn Festival activities, contributing to orienting and educating children to preserve national cultural identity, at the same time, mobilizing social resources to support, help, give gifts and encourage children from poor households, near-poor households, children in special and difficult circumstances, children from ethnic minorities, remote areas...
Units and localities strive to organize joyful, warm, healthy and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival activities for children.
As the locality chosen to host the Mid-Autumn Festival of the whole province, Ky Anh district has coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union and the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to complete preparations for this event.
Mr. Vo Ta Cuong - Vice Chairman of Ky Anh District People's Committee said: "With the desire to bring children, especially poor children, a joyful and warm Mid-Autumn Festival, we have directed the development of a program script with the theme "Lanterns light up dreams" with many attractive and fun performances. On this occasion, authorities at all levels and mass organizations in the district also made great efforts to mobilize collectives and individuals to support and give many gifts to children in difficult circumstances in the area. At the program scheduled to take place on the evening of September 26 (ie August 12 of the lunar calendar), we will award dozens of scholarships to the children".
The bustling atmosphere at the "Thanh Sen Mid-Autumn Festival" organized by Ha Tinh City on the evening of September 23.
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival also brought joy and sharing to 110 children being raised at Ha Tinh Orphanage when receiving attention from the community.
It is known that there are currently a number of organizations and unions such as: Youth Union of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Ha Tinh Branch, Vinfast Global Community Group Nghe - Tinh in collaboration with the Provincial Police Women's Union, and Loc Ha Volunteer Group registered to organize Mid-Autumn Festival programs here. In addition to giving valuable gifts, the children also enjoyed many joyful performances such as: lion dance, lantern procession, transformations of Hang and Cuoi... to bring a loving and warm Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere.
The Youth Union of Agribank Ha Tinh Branch and Agribank Ha Tinh II Branch together with benefactors organized the Mid-Autumn Festival at Ha Tinh Orphanage on the evening of September 23.
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Toan - Head of the Care and Nurturing Department of Ha Tinh Orphanage said: "According to the registration schedule, in addition to organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival and giving gifts to the children, on this occasion, many groups also gave essential gifts to the unit such as: washing machines, televisions, rice, milk... The community's concern is a great source of encouragement for the children as well as those who work in management and care at Ha Tinh Orphanage".
August brings with it the excitement of children waiting for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The care and sharing of the Party Committee, government and community through practical and specific actions have contributed to filling the gaps, warming the hearts of less fortunate children, bringing them a Mid-Autumn Festival filled with love.
