Head of Central Propaganda Department congratulates press agencies and veteran journalists

On June 19, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda Department delegation led by Party Central Committee Secretary and Head of the Department Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and congratulated Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam Television on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

Congratulating the collective leadership, cadres, reporters, editors, technicians and workers of the two central press agencies on the occasion of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia said that the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day took place in a context of profound significance when the entire Party and people looked back on 2.5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; over the past time, the press system has made many efforts to reflect the results achieved in implementing the Resolution. The Head of the Central Propaganda Department highly appreciated the efforts of the Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam Television in making strong innovations to promote the propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; well performing foreign information work; having many programs associated with social security and mass mobilization to create high social effects.

Emphasizing that in just two years, the 100th anniversary of the revolutionary press will be celebrated, as well as looking forward to the 14th National Party Congress and the country's major holidays, the Head of the Central Propaganda Department believes that the two Central press agencies as well as other press agencies will continue to promote their glorious traditions and the results achieved in the past, continue to thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Party and State's viewpoints on the press, and better perform the assigned tasks. At the same time, orienting public opinion, developing into leading multimedia press agencies of the country and the world, maintaining a mainstream position in the flow of information, promoting foreign information work, actively contributing to ensuring national sovereignty and security, thereby building a modern, professional, humane, and effective revolutionary press, enhancing the position, prestige, and image of the country to the world. Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that central press agencies must truly be exemplary, model press agencies with professional courage, demonstrating the humane image of journalists.

Also on the afternoon of June 19, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and wished the two veteran journalists Nguyen Khac Tiep and Ha Dang good health. Expressing gratitude for the contributions of the veteran journalists to the country and the country's journalism, the Head of the Central Propaganda Department hoped that the two veteran journalists would take care of their health so that young journalists could continue to follow the example of their predecessors and continue to write the golden pages of the history of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism.
