Can Tho University opens new school year

(HG O ) – On September 19 , Can Tho University (CTU) held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2024-2025.

Attending the event were Major General Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Commander of Military Region 9; Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Soc Trang province; Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province; Mr. Duong Tan Hien , Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho city; and representatives of leaders of institutes, universities and colleges of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the school completed the accreditation of 9 training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training , 16 training programs according to AUN-QA standards, bringing the total number of training programs recognized as meeting quality standards to 52 programs.
Implementing 15 State-level projects, 53 ministerial-level projects, 71 provincial-level projects, 222 grassroots-level projects and 54 international cooperation projects and topics. CTU is one of 9 Vietnamese educational institutions listed in the Global Best Higher Education Institutions Rankings published by US News & World Report Rankings…

The Board of Directors of CTU awarded the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Education and Training to 2 groups with outstanding achievements.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh (left cover) , Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province, awarded certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training to representatives of CTU.

On this occasion, 22 training programs of the school were also awarded certificates of meeting training program standards of the ASEAN University Network (abbreviated as AUN-QA) and certificates of training program quality of the Ministry of Education and Training.

CTU has 22 more training programs that meet the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training and AUN-QA standards.

At the Opening Ceremony , the Ministry of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit to Can Tho University for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning"; awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 77 individuals who have excellently completed their tasks for two consecutive school years; awarded emulation flags to 2 collectives and recognized 17 collectives with the title "Excellent Labor Collective".

The school also rewarded 8 students of the 50th course who achieved high scores in the 2024 regular university entrance exam.
