Foreign Trade University announced 4 admission methods in 2025: What's "hot"?

On the afternoon of January 22, Foreign Trade University announced the method of regular university admission in 2025.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, President of Foreign Trade University, said that the total enrollment target for full-time undergraduate students of Foreign Trade University in 2025 is 4,150, including the Hanoi Headquarters, Campus II - Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh Campus. The school's enrollment time is implemented according to the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, this year the school will keep the admission subject combinations stable as in 2024. In case the 2025 University Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training are adjusted, the school will adjust the admission subject combinations in accordance with the provisions of the 2025 University Admission Regulations.

The 4 admission methods of Foreign Trade University in 2025 are as follows:

Method 1 of admission uses high school academic results when meeting the school's quality assurance conditions. Including: The group of candidates are students who participate in/win prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition or the National Science and Technology Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in the field suitable for the school's admission subject group (including Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese).

The target group of candidates are students majoring in Mathematics, Mathematics-Information Technology, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese at national key high schools/specialized high schools (according to Circular 06/2012/TT-BGDDT dated February 15, 2012 on promulgating the Regulations on the organization of activities of specialized high schools and Circular 12/2014/TT-BGDDT dated April 18, 2014 on amending and supplementing a number of articles in the Regulations on the organization of activities of specialized high schools).

The target group of candidates are non-specialized students who won prizes (first, second, third) in provincial/city-level excellent student competitions in grade 11 or grade 12 (including subjects such as Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese).

Admission is based on a combination of international language certificates and high school academic results according to the school's admission subject combinations.

Admission method 2 uses the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam. Including: Group of candidates using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; Group of candidates using a combination of the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam and international foreign language certificates.

Method 3 of admission uses domestic and international competency assessment certificates. Including: Group of candidates with domestic competency assessment certificates; Group of candidates with international competency certificates

Method 4: Direct admission according to the 2025 university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In 2024, the admission scores for the majors/programs of the Foreign Trade University are relatively even. The highest score is 28.5 for the original combination D01 for the Chinese Language major - Business Chinese major. Next is the score of 28.1 for the original combination A00 for the majors International Business, Business Administration, Hotel Management and Marketing; the score of 28.0 for the combination A00 for the majors Economics and International Economics.
