Ho Chi Minh City University of Education opens branch in Gia Lai

On September 5, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son signed a decision to establish a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai province.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training allows the establishment of a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai province on the basis of Gia Lai Pedagogical College.

The Ministry of Education and Training requires Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to be responsible for reporting to the Ministry, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and relevant ministries and branches to organize the handover and reception of students, personnel, finance, assets, facilities, etc. of Gia Lai College of Education according to regulations.

At the same time, the school reported to the Ministry of Education and Training on the conditions to ensure educational quality, to allow the branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai province to carry out training activities.

Gia Lai Pedagogical College was established by the People's Committee of Gia Lai - Kon Tum province on November 2, 1979.

Over 40 years of operation, this facility has trained a significant human resource for the education sector of this region.

However, since 2019, the school has encountered many difficulties in enrollment and training, greatly affecting teaching and learning activities.

Faced with the above situation, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and Gia Lai Pedagogical College have considered the option of converting into a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to continue operating.
