On September 5th, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son signed a decision to establish a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai province.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training has authorized the establishment of a branch campus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai province, based on the Gia Lai College of Education.
The Ministry of Education and Training requires Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to report to the Ministry, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, and relevant ministries and agencies to organize the handover and acceptance of students, personnel, finances, assets, facilities, etc., of Gia Lai College of Education in accordance with regulations.
At the same time, the school reported to the Ministry of Education and Training on the conditions for ensuring educational quality, in order to allow the branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in Gia Lai province to carry out training activities.
Gia Lai Teacher Training College was established by a decision signed by the People's Committee of Gia Lai - Kon Tum province on November 2, 1979.
Over more than 40 years of operation, this institution has trained a significant workforce for the education sector in this region.
However, since 2019, the school has faced many difficulties in student recruitment and training, significantly impacting teaching and learning activities.
Given this situation, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and Gia Lai Teacher Training College have considered the option of converting it into a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to continue operations.
