On March 13, 2025, VinUni University and Nanyang Technological University (NTU – Singapore) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a strategic, comprehensive, and long-term alliance.

On March 13, 2025, VinUni University and Nanyang Technological University (NTU – Singapore) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a strategic, comprehensive, and long-term alliance.

This is an important step towards the goal of placing VinUni among the top 100 universities in the world, contributing to promoting Vietnam's pioneering role in science and technology.

The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding took place in the presence of General Secretary To Lam and high-ranking officials from both sides.

According to the agreement, VinUni and NTU will collaborate comprehensively in the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics & Intelligent Mobility, AI Applications in Materials Science and Engineering, and Health Sciences.

The collaboration is implemented through six action programs: Faculty exchange and secondment; Establishment of joint research centers and groups; Attracting postdoctoral scholars; Attracting doctoral students; Joint organization of scientific and technological conferences; and Development of research lab infrastructure in key areas.

Professor Ho Teck Hua, President of NTU, shared: “NTU is honored to contribute to further strengthening the strong cooperative relationship between Singapore and Vietnam – an important ASEAN partner. Through the establishment of a strategic alliance with VinUni to develop high-quality human resources, we will benefit both countries. Together, we will promote academic and research excellence at both universities and develop Singapore and Vietnam into science and technology hubs.”

Dr. Le Mai Lan, Vice President of Vingroup and President of VinUni University, emphasized: “Establishing a strategic, comprehensive, and long-term alliance with NTU is a significant milestone in VinUni's internal development strategy and vision: to become one of the top 100 universities in the world. NTU is a globally renowned university with outstanding achievements in academia and research. In particular, VinUni and NTU share a spirit of readiness to act quickly and a strong commitment. Our close geographical proximity and similar cultures will be the foundation for our collaboration in research and innovation, contributing to making science and technology a crucial driving force in the new era, the era of Vietnam's progress.”

Immediately after the signing, leaders from both sides proceeded with working sessions with NTU's team of scientists at technology and industrial labs, research centers, 3D printing labs, nanomaterials labs, etc., as well as the Institutes of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, and the Entrepreneurship Training Program.

With a practical approach, decisive action, and rapid deployment, VinUni and NTU believe that their strategic alliance will create breakthrough results from research to talent training, while contributing to advancing Vietnamese science and technology further on the world map.
