For students enrolling in 2024, the university plans to increase tuition fees for many majors by 10% compared to students enrolling in 2023:

This year, Dentistry remains the program with the highest tuition fee at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, projected at 84.7 million VND per year. It also has the highest tuition fee increase compared to last year, nearly 8 million VND.
Medical school tuition fees have increased by 7.4 million VND, also exceeding the 80 million VND/year tuition threshold.
Specifically, the public health sector will see an increase of at least 1 million VND, from 45 million VND/year to 46 million VND/year.
Other majors saw an increase of approximately 4-5 million VND compared to 2023. The newly announced tuition fees of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy will be applied in the 2024-2025 academic year.

According to school representatives, the school allocates 5.5 billion VND annually for scholarships, covering approximately 25-100% of tuition fees for students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with outstanding academic achievements. In addition, students can receive scholarships from various organizations and businesses, with a total funding of approximately 4 billion VND.
In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy will recruit 2,516 students (an increase of 100 compared to 2023) with two subject combinations: A00 and B00.
Candidates can apply to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City through 5 methods: direct admission, admission based on 2024 high school graduation exam scores, admission based on a combination of high school graduation exam scores and IELTS certificate, admission based on SAT scores, and admission based on preparatory university candidates.
2024 also marks the first year that the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy will use SAT scores for admission to two programs: Medicine and Dentistry. Applicants must achieve an SAT score of 1340/1600 or higher to be considered for this admission method.
For candidates applying through the combined method of high school graduation exam scores and IELTS certificate, a score of 6.0 is required for 5 majors: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Traditional Medicine, and Public Health. For other majors, candidates need an IELTS score of 5.0.
Last year, the admission scores based on high school graduation exam results for Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy ranged from approximately 19 to 27.34. Medicine was the major with the highest admission score.
