On the islands, from early morning, many naval officers and soldiers took advantage of their free time outside of training to join youth union members, women's association members, and families in decorating the stage, hanging flags, flowers, balloons, erecting banners and slogans, and preparing the sound and lighting systems for the program.
The work was busy, but filled with laughter, making the atmosphere on the islands even more vibrant before the children's festival. The children eagerly participated in practicing dance and song performances about their homeland, the sea and islands, and love for the country, under the enthusiastic guidance of the officers and soldiers on the islands.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Huy Phung, Political Officer of Truong Sa Island, said: “Living and working conditions on the island are still difficult, but the Party committee and commanders of the islands always pay attention to the material and spiritual lives of the children of officers, soldiers, and people on the island. Activities on the occasion of International Children's Day on June 1st are meticulously prepared to create a beneficial playground, helping the children have a joyful and warm celebration, thereby contributing to encouraging families to work with peace of mind and commit to building a stronger island.”

On Sinh Ton Island, preparations were also carried out urgently and meticulously. Officers, soldiers, and their families cleaned up the environment, decorated the hall, practiced performing arts, and prepared gifts for the children. Many group games, interactive activities, and quizzes with prizes were designed to suit the age group, creating a healthy and beneficial playground for the children.
Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Cuong, Political Officer of Sinh Ton Island, shared: “For the officers, soldiers, and people on the island, caring for children is not only a responsibility but also a special affection for the young generation in this island region. We hope that through activities on the occasion of June 1st, we will bring much joy to the children, helping them feel the concern of the Party Committee, the unit's commanders, and the affection of people nationwide towards Truong Sa.”
According to Comrade Hoang Van Cuong, despite the many difficulties on the island, the units always strive to prepare enough sweets, milk, books, school supplies, and organize appropriate recreational activities so that the children can have a truly meaningful International Children's Day.

On Song Tu Tay and Da Tay islands, preparations are equally vibrant. Many officers and soldiers are actively completing the stage, playground, and special cultural performances. Familiar children's songs resound amidst the vast sea and sky of Truong Sa, creating a cheerful and intimate atmosphere.
Youth organizations and women's associations on the island also organized activities such as cutting and pasting models, making handicrafts, and preparing small gifts for the children. In particular, many gifts, congratulatory letters, and school supplies sent from the mainland were received and carefully arranged to be handed directly to the children on June 1st.

Besides recreational activities, the islands also focus on developing highly educational programs, helping children understand more about the heroic traditions of the Vietnam People's Navy; love for the sea and islands of their homeland; and awareness of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
Many meticulously prepared exchange activities between children and naval officers and soldiers aim to foster camaraderie and boost the morale of families living and working on remote islands.
These days, the laughter, chatter, and singing of children practicing for cultural performances resound across the islands of Truong Sa, making the sea and islands even warmer and more affectionate. This is not only preparation for a children's festival but also a vivid testament to the love, sharing, and determination of the entire nation to build a stronger and more prosperous Truong Sa.
