From early morning on May 31st, many naval officers and soldiers took advantage of their free time outside of training to join youth union members, women's association members, and families in decorating the stage, hanging flags, flowers, balloons, erecting banners and slogans, and preparing the sound and lighting systems for the program. The bustling atmosphere, filled with laughter, made the islands feel closer and warmer before the children's festival.

On Truong Sa Island, the central courtyard has been chosen as the main venue for activities. Many whimsical models, areas for traditional games, and a stage for cultural performances have been largely completed. Children eagerly participate in practicing dance and song performances about their homeland, the sea and islands, and love for the country under the guidance of officers and soldiers on the island.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Huy Phung, Political Officer of Truong Sa Island, said: “Although living and working conditions on the island are still difficult, the Party committee and commanders of the islands always pay attention to the material and spiritual lives of the children of officers, soldiers, and people on the island. Activities on the occasion of International Children's Day on June 1st are meticulously prepared to create a beneficial playground, helping the children have a joyful and warm celebration, thereby contributing to encouraging families to work with peace of mind and commit to building a stronger island.”

On Sinh Ton Island, preparations were also carried out urgently and meticulously. Officers, soldiers, and their families cleaned up the environment, decorated the hall, practiced performing arts, and prepared gifts for the children. Many group games, interactive activities, and quizzes with prizes were designed to suit the age group, creating a healthy and beneficial playground for the children. Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Cuong, Political Officer of Sinh Ton Island, said: "Despite the many difficulties on the island, the units always strive to prepare enough sweets, milk, books, school supplies, and organize appropriate recreational activities so that the children can have a truly meaningful International Children's Day."

“For the officers, soldiers, and people on the island, caring for children is not only a responsibility but also a special affection for the young generation in this island region. We hope that through the activities of International Children's Day, we will bring much joy to the children, helping them feel the concern of the Party committee, the unit commanders, and the affection of people nationwide towards Truong Sa,” Mr. Cuong shared.

On Song Tu Tay and Da Tay islands, preparations are equally vibrant. Many officers and soldiers are actively completing the stage, playground, and special cultural performances. Familiar children's songs resound across the Truong Sa sea, creating a joyful and intimate atmosphere. Many gifts, congratulatory letters, and school supplies sent from the mainland have been received and carefully arranged to be handed directly to the children on June 1st.
