Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Huynh Thanh Nhan emphasized that the 2025-2026 school year is an extremely meaningful year - the first school year after the merger of the three localities; a school year leading up to the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization and especially the half-century since Saigon - Gia Dinh City was honored to bear the name of President Ho Chi Minh.

Ho Chi Minh City leaders are eager to listen to the thoughts, feelings, and dreams of children. This will focus on areas that contribute to the holistic development of children and the sustainable development of the city in the new era, such as lifelong learning in the digital age; digital citizenship, connectivity, and development; smart cities – a children's perspective; and building a digital culture and ensuring safety in cyberspace.

“Through each opinion expressed today, the city leaders will continue to develop more policies, strategies, and solutions to better care for children, organize more meaningful and beneficial activities, and promote children's right to participate in the city's overall development. At the same time, we will promptly address shortcomings and deficiencies so that every child in the city truly receives care, love, and happiness,” shared Huynh Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.

Earlier, at the "Uncle Ho with Children" art sculpture park, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh, along with the delegation and children, laid flowers and offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh. In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation observed a minute of silence to remember President Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero, the brilliant leader of the Party and the people, and the outstanding cultural figure of the country.
