In the middle of the school yard filled with red flags and flowers, in the sound of cicadas singing the summer song, the staff and teachers of Cam Xuyen High School are looking back together on the 2020-2025 term, a journey that marked a strong transformation under unprecedented conditions.

Cam Xuyen High School has a spacious infrastructure.

In a simple office, Mr. Vo Huu Ha - Party Secretary and Principal of the school quietly flipped through the pages of the workbook. Each line of text is a memory, a mark of courage and responsibility. “The first school year of the term, 2020-2021, took place at a time when the whole country was struggling to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Classrooms were quiet. Students stayed at home, teachers taught through computer screens. The lectures were recorded and broadcast on Ha Tinh Radio and Television Station to help students not to interrupt their studies. There was no blackboard, no podium, only a camera lens, but we taught with all our hearts,” Mr. Ha shared.

Not only fighting the epidemic, Cam Xuyen High School also entered a new term with key personnel changes in the Party Committee. In the face of difficulties, the school collective became more united and cohesive to overcome challenges. Resolutions were issued close to reality, policies were implemented smoothly and synchronously. The school Party Committee is truly the political nucleus that comprehensively leads all activities - from professional work, emulation movements to educating students about life ideals.

The highlight of the Party building work that the school focuses on is to inspect, supervise, seriously correct deviations in the educational environment and promptly commend and reward outstanding individuals and groups. In 2022 - a humanitarian milestone was established, the school's scholarship and talent promotion fund was officially established. To date, the fund has mobilized more than 1 billion VND from social sources. Every year, hundreds of millions of VND are given to poor but studious students or students with outstanding achievements to light up their dreams of studying.

The school's Party Committee also pays special attention to Party development work among teachers and students. Teacher Vo Ta Tinh - Vice Principal of Cam Xuyen High School could not hide his pride: "From 2020 to now, we have admitted 53 new Party members. Including 3 teachers and especially 50 students. They are red seeds nurtured in the school environment, gradually affirming their pioneering and exemplary role in studying and training".

From a tradition of more than half a century, this school is gradually affirming its position with strong advances in both teaching quality and facilities, becoming one of the leading flags of the province’s education sector.

Currently, Cam Xuyen High School maintains a stable scale of 36-38 classes with more than 1,200 students and nearly 100 cadres, teachers and staff. The school's Party Committee has 71 members operating in 3 Party cells, which is a strong political nucleus in all activities.

"We cannot stand still in the midst of the innovation of modern education. And reality has proven that Cam Xuyen High School has been making strong changes in the quality of education. In just 5 years, the school has had 63 topics and initiatives recognized by the industry for their effectiveness, including 2 provincial-level topics. 14 teachers have been honored as excellent teachers at the provincial level" - shared teacher Nguyen Trong Dieu, Vice Principal of the school.

The school commends students, staff and teachers for their outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.

Not only the teachers' achievements, the school's students are also increasingly excellent. From 25th place in the province in the 2021 high school graduation exam, the school rose to 9th place in 2024. The number of students scoring 27 points or more in the university entrance exam increased from 9 students (in 2020) to 368 students (in 2024). Among them, many students achieved absolute scores, winning the positions of valedictorian and salutatorian.

The school always innovates teaching and learning to improve the quality of education.

EVERY YEAR, CAM XUYEN HIGH SCHOOL HAS FROM 2 TO 5 STUDENTS SELECTED TO BE IN THE NATIONAL EXCELLENT STUDENT TEAM.

Along with mass education, the quality of the spearhead has also made great strides. The school has always maintained the top 10 in the province in terms of the number and quality of awards in excellent student competitions. From 37 awards in 2020, this number has increased to 64 awards in 2024 - a testament to the methodical investment and team development strategy. In particular, many teams have achieved a 100% passing rate, with the first prizes causing a stir. Every year, Cam Xuyen High School has 2-5 students selected for the national excellent student selection team.

In recognition of its achievements, in 2023, the Party Committee of Cam Xuyen High School was awarded many certificates of merit and certificates of merit by all levels and sectors. Notably, in 2023, the school received a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training and in 2024, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province awarded the excellent emulation flag; for 2 consecutive years, the Director of the Department of Education and Training awarded a certificate of merit for its outstanding achievements in the high school graduation exam.
