Education Department leaders reward outstanding teachers of Chu Van An High School for the Gifted

Right from the 2021-2022 school year, the pivotal year of implementing the new high school program, the school has clearly identified its development goals: innovation to lead and leadership must be through quality. Mr. Mong Thanh Thuy, Principal of the school, said: Modern management thinking, organizing teaching and learning according to the orientation of capacity development, digital transformation and encouraging students to self-study and self-research are the highlights throughout the development orientation. We do not chase after achievements but focus on improving real quality, teachers must be inspirational, and schools must be places where everyone feels valued.

From that orientation, teachers actively innovate methods, apply technology, effectively exploit active teaching models, focus on training critical thinking, presentation skills and proactive spirit for students right from grade 10. In the past 3 years, the whole school has had hundreds of topics, initiatives, and applied pedagogical scientific research; of which nearly 150 topics have been recognized by the Department of Education and Training.

These innovations have created a clear change in the quality of education. At the end of the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year, nearly 70% of the school's students achieved excellent academic performance, and over 99% achieved good conduct. Over the past 5 years, the rate of high school graduates and university graduates has always been maintained at an almost absolute level. Every year, the school has dozens of students winning prizes in national competitions for excellent students, science and technology research competitions, English Olympics, English Math competitions, youth creativity and student startups.

Nguyen Dang Quynh Tram, a student in class 12D1 specializing in English, is one of the outstanding faces when she won second prize in the national History competition in the 2024-2025 school year, a choice that did not follow her major. “I love history because I feel the depth from the lessons of the past. At Chu Van An School, I am free to choose and develop my strengths. The teachers do not impose but always encourage students to live true to their passion.” - Dang Quynh Tram shared.

Along with professional quality, the school focuses on building a positive, friendly school culture, creating a comprehensive educational environment. The code of conduct for culture has been widely implemented, creating discipline in the behavior of both teachers and students; the movement "Teachers help students improve, teachers help colleagues develop" has been seriously implemented and put into practice. In the past 5 years, nearly 1,000 students have been tutored and advised on their studies by teachers, of which 100% of students have made significant progress after support. Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang, a Geography teacher - who has participated in training national excellent students for many years, shared: There are students who used to be shy, with average academic performance, but after being patiently accompanied by teachers, they are now bold enough to participate in big playgrounds. That is the sustainable success of education.

In addition, the school also actively organizes activities to educate life values, life skills and spread the spirit of humanity. Through the program "Support to school", the school has awarded dozens of scholarships, supporting students in difficult circumstances to overcome difficulties and rise up. The school space is invested synchronously with a system of trees, sports areas, multi-purpose halls, creating conditions for students to practice physical training and develop personal capacity. Diverse experiential activities help students build courage, skills and a sense of responsibility to the community.

With these outstanding results, in the period of 2021-2025, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal (for the second time) from the President, received the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee, and many certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Prime Minister; hundreds of cadres and teachers were recognized as emulation fighters and excellent teachers at the provincial level.
