In 2017, Nguyen Thi Hai Giang assumed the position of President of the Women's Association of Regiment 2. To keep the women's movement vibrant and attract female members in the unit, she believed: "To have a strong movement, we must first set an example; to gain the trust of the women, we must first live sincerely and responsibly."

Major Nguyen Thi Hai Giang and her colleagues visited and encouraged families of policy beneficiaries in the area.

With that in mind, Major Nguyen Thi Hai Giang has always been exemplary in performing her professional duties as well as participating in the unit's general activities. Together with the Women's Association Executive Committee, she coordinated with the Youth Union of Regiment 2 to effectively implement models such as: "Supporting the Training Season," "Supporting the Exercise Season," and "Meals of Gratitude"; visiting members in difficult circumstances; and actively participating in "Green Sunday" to spread the good deeds of officers, union members, youth, and the people in maintaining a green, clean, and beautiful environment... These actions are both practical and full of camaraderie and warmth, reflecting the close relationship between the military and the people.

Not only is she diligent and dedicated to her work and extracurricular activities, but Major Nguyen Thi Hai Giang is also a talented performer in the unit. Despite never having received formal training in culture or arts, her passion and enthusiasm have led her and her colleagues to achieve many proud accomplishments in various competitions and sports events, such as: First prize in the Division and Military Region agencies category at the 13th Military Region Armed Forces Mass Art Festival in 2023; first prize at the 39th Division 3 Mass Art Festival in 2023; second prize in the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" competition at Division 3 in 2023; second prize in the "Excellent Women's Association Cadre" competition at the Division level in 2023...

In carrying out her duties, Major Nguyen Thi Hai Giang always actively seeks out and researches medical knowledge through documents, books, and newspapers, and exchanges with comrades. Bearing in mind President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, "A good doctor must be like a loving mother," she is always proactive in her shifts, never shying away from her work, and wholeheartedly dedicated to caring for the health of the soldiers.

She also initiated the "Every female member performs one good deed following Uncle Ho's example" movement through specific actions linked to her professional duties. Accordingly, every month, cadres and members register at least one good deed following Uncle Ho's example, ranging from simple actions such as saving electricity and water, cleaning, tending to flowerbeds, and helping colleagues when they are sick...

Thanks to the enthusiasm, dedication, and selfless commitment of Major Nguyen Thi Hai Giang, the Women's Association of Regiment 2 has consistently fulfilled its assigned tasks over the years, and has been recognized as an outstanding Women's Association for many consecutive years. She personally received the title of "Outstanding Soldier at the grassroots level" in 2021, along with numerous commendations and certificates from various levels.

Speaking about Major Nguyen Thi Hai Giang, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Quang Loc, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 2, said: “Comrade Giang is passionate about her work and actively inspires others in mass movement activities within the unit. She has worked with the Women's Association Executive Committee to advise on and effectively implement many models and activities, which have been recognized and highly appreciated by all levels.”
