The program focuses on communicating practical contents such as: waste classification and treatment at source; types of solid waste that can be recycled; waste collection and storage separately to avoid mixing with non-hazardous waste, ensuring no environmental pollution. In addition, cadres, women's union members and local people are also provided with knowledge about environmentally friendly energy sources and what households can do to contribute to protecting the surrounding living environment.

Through interactive question groups, women members and citizens learned more about the direct causes of global climate change, natural causes of air pollution, as well as global events and campaigns, such as Earth Hour, Clean Up the World Campaign, and World Environment Day. In particular, the communication session emphasized the theme of World Environment Day 2025 as “Beat Plastic Pollution”, calling on everyone to change their consumption and plastic usage habits.

In addition, the program also introduces the basic points of the 2020 Law on Environmental Protection to help people raise awareness and properly implement regulations on environmental protection in daily life and production.

This is an activity of the project "Developing the capacity of the Women's Union on environmental protection and climate change mitigation" in 2025 funded by the Australian Government to raise environmental awareness, promote the active role of women in environmental protection and sustainable development in the community, especially in localities directly affected by climate change.
