Dr. Le Truong Son continues to lead the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.

(NLDO) - Dr. Le Truong Son (born 1971), a former student of the 14th cohort of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, has been reappointed as the rector of the leading law university in the South.

On May 18th, the Minister of Education and Training issued Decision No. 1228/QD-BGDĐT appointing the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.

Accordingly, Dr. Le Truong Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the 2025-2030 term, has been reappointed to the position of Rector of the university for a term of 5 years.

Dr. Le Truong Son has been reappointed as the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the term 2025-2030.

Dr. Le Truong Son (born in 1971) is a former student of the 14th cohort of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. He began working at the university in 1995, holding various professional and managerial positions.

In April 2024, Dr. Le Truong Son assumed the position of Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. On September 14, 2023, he became Rector for the 2020-2025 term.

On October 22, 2025, the Minister of Education and Training issued Decision No. 2929/QD-BGDĐT recognizing Dr. Le Truong Son as the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the term 2025-2030.

In his new role, Dr. Le Truong Son will continue to develop the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law into a key institution for training legal professionals, and a leading center for research and dissemination of legal science nationwide.

Throughout his years of service, Dr. Le Truong Son has consistently demonstrated strong political acumen, professional competence, managerial thinking, and a high sense of responsibility; making significant contributions to training, scientific research, domestic and international cooperation, and innovation in university governance.
