- From August 1, 2025, customs officers working at the Customs Branch of Region VI (in charge of Lang Son province) will officially use the new civil servant number seal in performing customs procedures in accordance with their assigned functions and tasks. Accordingly, the branch has 204 customs officers using the new seal.
Pursuant to Decision No. 1058/QD-CHQ dated July 15, 2025 of the Vietnam Customs Department regulating the civil servant number seal and the management and use of civil servant number seals in the implementation of customs procedures (replacing Decision No. 876/QD-TCHQ dated May 15, 2006 of the General Director of the General Department of Customs), the Customs Sub-Department of Region VI has issued decisions and issued seals to 204 civil servants performing customs operations at the sub-department for use in the implementation of customs procedures.
According to Decision No. 1058, the seal using the new customs officer number will be used and effective from August 1, 2025.
According to information from the leaders of the Customs Branch of Region VI, the Customs Branch of Region VI has 306 civil servants, of which only 204 civil servants performing tasks related to customs records and procedures are granted civil servant number seals.
The new customs officer number seal is rectangular, 26 mm long and 19 mm wide. In particular, the content and engraving in the customs officer number seal of the Customs Sub-Department of Region VI are designed according to regulations with the code "KV06". The civil servant assigned to use the civil officer number seal must directly manage the seal and stamp the customs dossier.
The use of numbered seals by customs officers in carrying out customs procedures will help customs agencies, as well as import-export enterprises, clearly understand the officers, positions, and units of the officers in charge of supervising and processing related customs records and procedures.
Therefore, in case a customs officer is transferred, rotated, seconded, or transferred to another position within the department and no longer requires the use of the civil servant number seal, he/she must hand it over to the Department's Personnel Organization Department for management according to regulations. When assigned to a job that requires the use of the civil servant number seal, he/she will be allowed to use this seal again.
In case a civil servant has a decision to transfer, rotate, or second to work at another regional customs branch or to the Customs Department, or to transfer out of the customs sector, quit, retire, be forced to quit, or be temporarily suspended from work... the unit will make a document to withdraw the seal and keep it according to regulations.
