Pride and aspiration

We are living in the historic autumn days of September. Throughout the streets, flags, banners, and posters celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd. And every time National Day on September 2nd, Independence Day, approaches, every Vietnamese person is filled with emotion, reminding each other of that sacred and proud moment, the value of peace , and the glorious history of the Vietnamese nation.

Seventy-nine years ago, following the great victory of the August Revolution, on September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, on behalf of the Provisional Revolutionary Government, President Ho Chi Minh solemnly read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the first workers' and peasants' state in Southeast Asia, a state of the people, by the people, and for the people; opening a new chapter in history, the most glorious milestone in the thousand-year history of nation-building and national defense of the Vietnamese people.

For the past 79 years, under the leadership of the Party and the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the entire Party, people, and army have achieved glorious victories in the struggle for national liberation, culminating in the Dien Bien Phu victory in 1954 and the great victory of Spring 1975, liberating the South and unifying the Fatherland.

In building and defending the Fatherland, especially after nearly 40 years of implementing the reform initiated and led by our Party, our country has achieved great successes, the spiritual and material lives of the people have been increasingly improved, national defense and security have been maintained, and Vietnam's prestige and position in the international arena have been increasingly enhanced.

Together with the entire Party, people, and army of the country, the Party committee, government, and people of Ninh Thuan united as one, overcoming hardships and sacrifices, making a great contribution to the overall victory of the nation in the two wars of resistance against France and the United States. After 49 years since the liberation of the homeland and 32 years since the re-establishment of the province, upholding the traditions of this heroic and steadfast land, Ninh Thuan has promoted patriotic emulation movements, creatively applying and implementing the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws to the specific conditions of the province, and has achieved important achievements in the fields of socio-economic development, national defense, security, etc., and the lives of the people in the province have improved significantly.

In the first three years of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the average GRDP growth rate for the period 2021-2023 reached 9.28% per year, higher than the national average and the average growth rate of the South Central Coast region. In particular, the GRDP growth rate in 2023 increased to 9.40%, ranking 9th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and 2nd out of 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions. Furthermore, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister, has opened up new development spaces and a new vision. The goal is for Ninh Thuan to become a province with a high-middle income by 2030 and to strive for a comprehensively, rapidly, and sustainably developed province by 2050, with a diversified and prosperous economy, and a high standard of living for its people, both materially and spiritually, compared to other localities nationwide.

With pride in its past achievements and a strong aspiration for progress, Ninh Thuan places its full trust in the leadership of the Party, leveraging the strength of national unity, facing the truth squarely, accurately assessing achievements, promptly addressing bottlenecks and obstacles; strengthening Party building and rectification and the political system in conjunction with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; promoting the fight against corruption and negative phenomena; and creating a healthy environment for socio-economic development. The Party committee, government, and people of Ninh Thuan will continue to strive to build an increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.
