"Building on the fine traditions of our homeland, officials and people need to continue to develop Van Son into a livable rural area, a place that those who leave will remember fondly, and those who have visited once will want to return," Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long expressed his wish.

To commemorate the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024), on the morning of November 10, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long joined the National Unity Day celebration with the people of Hamlet 1, Van Son Commune, Trieu Son District ( Thanh Hoa Province). Also in attendance were Mr. Nguyen Doan Anh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Do Minh Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Village 1 in Van Son commune has 198 households, many of which have been very proactive in economic development, achieving high incomes. The total income of the village after deducting expenses in 2024 is estimated to reach over 40 billion VND, with an average per capita income of nearly 70 million VND/person/year.

Village 1 in Van Son commune has been recognized and maintained the title of "Cultural Village" by the People's Committee of Trieu Son district for five consecutive years. The village has established an effective waste collection and treatment team. 100% of households have bathrooms, hygienic water storage facilities, safe toilets, and meet the "three clean" standards (cleanliness, cleanliness, and safety). 100% of households have access to safe electricity and use cashless payment methods.
“The residential area ensures good adherence to civilized customs in weddings, funerals, and festivals; whenever a family experiences a joyous or sorrowful event, illness, or misfortune, the villagers unite, bond, and share joys and sorrows together. The village now has only one household receiving social welfare support and one household classified as near-poor.”

The people have contributed funds to build the cultural center grounds, expand roads, install street lighting, construct fences and green hedges... To date, the village has mobilized 54 households to donate land, expanding and upgrading over 3km of roads; 100% of the roads have been concreted... with a total mobilized fund of over 5 billion VND.

Currently, the Party Committee of Hamlet 1, Van Son Commune, is continuing to encourage the people to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria for building a model new rural area, donating land and structures according to Resolution 12 of the District Party Committee so that some alleyways can be paved with sidewalks.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long affirmed: In the coming time, the Party committees and authorities of residential area 1, Van Son commune, need to continue to summarize experiences and achieve more accomplishments so that people can have a prosperous life, rise to legitimate wealth, maintain good neighborly relations, and contribute to the overall construction and development of the province and the country.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long expressed his wish that Van Son commune should uphold its fine traditions and enrich its cultural values by building a cultural life in each family, in each village and hamlet; building healthy, peaceful, and prosperous residential areas so that Van Son becomes a livable countryside, a place that those who leave will remember, and those who have visited once will want to return.

In addition, it is necessary to pay close attention to the people, listen to the people; effectively implement the Law on the Practice of Democracy at the Grassroots Level; and combat bureaucracy, corruption, and negative practices. Cadres and Party members need to uphold the spirit and responsibility of setting a good example.

At the event, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long presented a gift box to Hamlet 1 and 25 gift packages to policy beneficiary families in the hamlet. Thanh Hoa province also donated a "Great Solidarity" house to a poor family in An Nong commune, Trieu Son district, worth 80 million VND, along with 11 gift packages for policy beneficiary families.
