Specifically, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team were deducted a total of 19.04 points after 3 consecutive losses. This caused the Vietnamese women's team to drop 6 places in the world rankings, from 22nd to 28th.

The loss to Kenya on the evening of August 27 was the most devastating blow, as Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates were deducted 12.77 points. The reason was that Kenya was 5 places below the Vietnamese women's team before the match.

Previously, the Vietnamese women's team opened with a defeat against Poland - the third-ranked team in the world. Due to winning a set and the huge difference in skill level, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team only lost 0.01 points. However, in the second match against Germany, the 12th-ranked team in the world, the Vietnamese women's team lost 0-3 and was deducted an additional 6.26 points.

The total number of points deducted by the Vietnamese women's team in this tournament is even more than the number of points the team won in the SEA V.League 2025. This result shows that the Vietnamese women's team needs more wins against strong opponents to improve their ranking, if they do not want to continue to fall further in the world rankings.

Although the results were not as expected, participating in the world championship for the first time was a valuable experience for the Vietnamese women's team. The matches with top teams helped Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates learn modern playing styles, preparing for the long-term goal of narrowing the gap with the leading groups in the continent and the world.
