Despite not being considered among the top contenders for the title, Casemiro believes Brazil can turn their underdog status into a major advantage at the 2026 World Cup.

Casemiro admitted that Brazil was not highly rated.

"We're not the top contenders. Of course, Brazil is in good form and has a quality squad with a mix of experience and youth. We may be underestimated by some opponents right now, but the whole team is ready. The important thing is to go into the tournament in the best possible condition and create a memorable World Cup," Casemiro emphasized.

The veteran midfielder also mentioned the turbulent period that Brazilian football has gone through recently. According to him, changes on the coaching staff as well as at the Federation leadership level have significantly affected the team's preparation process.

"It was a difficult time. We changed coaches, changed the president, and faced a lot of upheaval. The new coaching staff had only been working with the team for about a year, and in reality, the training camp only lasted about 40 days. Even so, I believe Brazil is entering the World Cup with positive preparation," he said.

At the 2026 World Cup in North America, Brazil aims to win its sixth world championship title, further solidifying its position as the most successful team on the planet. According to experts, Brazil is ranked behind Spain, France, and England in the title race.
