On the afternoon of November 30, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) officially announced the FIFA rankings for November. According to the November 2023 rankings just announced by FIFA, the Vietnamese team continues to maintain its 94th position in the world. In November, the Vietnamese team played 2 matches in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers with a 2-0 win over the Philippines and a 0-1 loss to Iraq. According to FIFA's scoring method, the Vietnamese team was deducted 0.67 points. However, this deduction does not affect the ranking of the Vietnamese team because we still maintain a fairly safe distance from the teams below.

In Asia, the Vietnamese team continues to be in the top 15. The top 3 teams in the continent are still Japan, Iran and South Korea.

In Southeast Asia, the Vietnamese team maintained its leading position. Other teams such as Thailand and Indonesia both dropped one rank.

With this score, the position of the Vietnamese team remains the same as 94th in the world as in the ranking last month (announced on October 26). In addition, it continues to maintain its 15th position in Asia and number 1 in Southeast Asia since 2018. The Armenian team rose 2 places to 93rd in the world, while the Belarusian team ranked 95th right after the Vietnamese team.

In Southeast Asia, the Malaysian team was recognized by FIFA as one of the teams that increased the most, up 7 places to 130th in the world, 23rd in Asia and 3rd in Southeast Asia. In November, the Malaysian team competed in Group D of the 2nd qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia, with 2 wins against Kyrgyzstan with a score of 4-3 and Taiwan with a score of 1-0.

The Thai team has just replaced coach Mano Polking with Japanese coach Masatada Ishii. In November, the "War Elephants" played with results of losing to China 1-2 and winning Singapore 3-1 in Group C of the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia, also dropping 1 place compared to last month from 112th to 113th in the world and 21st in Asia. The Thai team continues to rank 2nd in Southeast Asia, 19 places behind the Vietnamese team./.
