Affected by storm No. 3, combined with the rising water level of Kinh Thay River, 2,067 hectares of rice and crops in Dong Trieu town were flooded. Determining the need to urgently drain water for the above-mentioned flooded agricultural areas, with great efforts, Dong Trieu town soon put 4 pumping stations into continuous operation at the highest capacity. Currently, the Viet Dan pumping station is being repaired to be able to operate tomorrow, September 14.

Under the wind and rain of storm No. 3, most of Dong Trieu's pumping stations were damaged. Dong Trieu Irrigation Company Limited, the unit managing and operating the pumping stations, together with relevant functional units of Dong Trieu Town, made efforts to overcome the problems so that the pumping stations could operate at their best. In particular, Dong Trieu Town Electricity has prioritized supplying electricity to flood control works, including pumping stations.
According to Mr. Le Quoc Ruyen, Head of the Economic Department of Dong Trieu Town, when pumping stations operate effectively, they will promote drainage, minimizing the reduction of productivity and crop output.

Along with operating pumping stations, Dong Trieu town focuses on human and material resources to build dikes to prevent floods, reinforce dike surfaces, and landslide points to protect important riverside dikes in the area and protect crop areas in the area.
