USD exchange rate today May 4, 2025 on the world market
The Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the USD against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 100.04 - up 0.23 points compared to May 3, 2025.

The greenback rose last week on optimism about the prospect of the US reaching tariff deals with several trading partners, including China.
Data from the US showed non-farm payrolls increased by 177,000 last month, after a downward revision to 185,000 new jobs in March.
Economists polled by Reuters forecast about 130,000 new jobs were created in April, while the previous report had shown 228,000 jobs added in March.
Aside from the jobs report, the issue of tariffs remains a top priority for investors. On May 1, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Fox News that talks with China would take place soon. His comments followed a report in Chinese state media that was seen as a signal that Beijing was open to trade talks. Beijing is “evaluating” an offer from Washington to hold talks on tariffs, China’s Ministry of Commerce said on May 2.
