Accordingly, in the first quarter of 2025, VinFast delivered a total of 36,330 electric cars, a sharp increase of 296% over the same period in 2024.

In the low quarter of the auto market, VinFast still recorded the number of delivered cars exceeding the total number of delivered cars in the first half of 2024.

Meanwhile, the number of motorbikes and electric bicycles delivered reached 44,904 units, recording a remarkable growth of 473% over the same period last year.

From the above results, VinFast's total revenue in the first quarter of 2025 reached VND 16,306.4 billion (USD 656.5 million), an increase of 149.9% compared to the first quarter of 2024.

As of May 31, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong has disbursed VND20,500.0 billion (USD825.4 million) in non-refundable grants to VinFast, part of a commitment announced on November 12, 2024, to provide financial support of up to VND50,000 billion (USD2.1 billion).

Meanwhile, as of the end of May, Vingroup had also disbursed a loan of VND30,571.3 billion ($1.2 billion) to VinFast. Late last year, the group committed to providing VinFast with a new loan of up to VND35,000 billion to support its continued growth.

Currently, VinFast's retail network has reached 388 stores globally, including direct distribution stores (DTC) and dealer stores.

The first quarter is typically a low season, but the number of vehicles delivered in the first quarter of 2025 has exceeded the total number of vehicles delivered in the first half of last year. In the context of global uncertainty, this is an encouraging start for VinFast in 2025. Our operational efficiency has improved thanks to increased production volume and more streamlined operations, leading to a more optimal cost structure,” said Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Chairwoman of VinFast.

In the future, we will use the next-generation EV platform and electrical/electronic (E/E) architecture to further optimize the bill of materials (BOM). This will help us improve product quality, performance and reduce costs for all of our EV products.”

By 2025, VinFast aims to at least double the number of vehicles delivered globally and will continue to closely monitor the constantly changing macroeconomic situation.

VinFast focuses on key markets of Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, India, North America and Europe, while continuing to evaluate potential markets in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

In addition to a diverse range of SUVs from small cars to the E-SUV segment, VinFast is continuing to evaluate the potential of developing other types of vehicles, to realize the mission of making electrified mobility more accessible to everyone.
