Vietnam U16 women's team "tests fire" with US U16 women's team in Europe

On the afternoon of April 13, the Vietnam U16 women's team had their second match at the international U16 women's football friendly tournament organized by UEFA in Türkiye. Despite losing 0-8 to a strong opponent from the US, the Vietnam U16 girls showed good fighting spirit and learned a lot of experience.

The U16 women's team of the United States is considered a candidate for the championship in this friendly tournament. The players with outstanding physique and very good technique have continuously created many attacks threatening the goal of the U16 women's team of Vietnam. However, the students of coach Akira Ijiri tried very hard and blocked many shots of the opposing team. At the end of the first half, the score was 3-0 for the U16 women's team of the United States.

In the second half, the Vietnamese girls played hard and created some counter-attack opportunities. However, these attacks were not enough to put pressure on the opponent's goal. The difference in physical strength and physique also caused the Vietnamese U16 women's team to concede more goals in this half. In the end, the US U16 women's team won 8-0.

Sharing after the match, Tran Thi Huong said: “The U16 US team is a very strong team. They are superior in technique, height and good pressure. After the second match, I learned a lot more and have to try harder. Although the team lost, everyone tried their best for the country."
