Vietnam U19 boasts the 7th most expensive squad in the 2026 Southeast Asian U19 Championship.
According to Transfermarkt, the Australian U19 team has the most expensive squad in the 2026 Southeast Asian U19 Championship, with a total value of 2.65 million euros. Second is the Myanmar U19 team with a value of 885,000 euros. Third is the Thailand U19 team with a value of 400,000 euros.
Next in line are U19 Indonesia (360,000 euros), U19 Singapore (55,000 euros), U19 East Timor (45,000 euros) and U19 Vietnam (25,000 euros). U19 Malaysia, U19 Brunei, U19 Cambodia and U19 Philippines are not valued.

The only player from the Vietnam U19 team whose value has been determined is central midfielder Nguyen Van Khanh of Hong Linh Ha Tinh, with a price tag of 25,000 euros.
At the 2026 Southeast Asian U19 Championship, the Vietnam U19 team will be missing several key players such as center-back Quang Kiet, defender Le Kha Duc, winger Le Van Thuan, striker Tran Gia Bao, and midfielder Nguyen Cong Phuong…
At the same time, Vietnamese-American players such as Antonio Moric, Gavin Turner, Simon Vu, Khoa Ngo, Lee Williams, and Lenn Minh Tran were absent due to commitments with their clubs or because they had not yet obtained Vietnamese citizenship.
In the 2026 Southeast Asian U19 Championship, Vietnam U19 is in Group A along with host Indonesia U19, East Timor U19, and Myanmar U19. In their opening match on June 1st, coach Yutaka Ikeuchi's team won convincingly 3-0 against East Timor U19 and are currently sharing the top spot with 3 points and the same goal difference as Indonesia U19.
On June 4th, the Vietnam U19 team will face the Myanmar U19 team. Three days later, the "Golden Star Warriors" will clash with the Indonesia U19 team.
