On May 28, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said Ukraine had sent its ceasefire terms to Russia.
"I handed over a ceasefire proposal reflecting Ukraine's position to the Russian chief negotiator. They received it," Ukrinform quoted Minister Rustem Umerov as saying.

Mr. Umerov reaffirmed Ukraine's commitment to a complete and unconditional ceasefire, as well as readiness to continue diplomatic efforts.
"We are not against meetings with Russia and are waiting for their memorandum to ensure that the talks will be substantive and really bring us closer to the goal of ending the conflict," Minister Umerov said.
"Ukraine will continue to take the most constructive steps possible. Negotiations between the parties need to yield results. That is why thorough preparation is necessary for each discussion," Umerov added.
Mr. Umerov also called on Russia to send its memorandum to Ukraine soon.
Earlier, at a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine and its allies are constantly discussing possible options to end the conflict.
In a related development, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has proposed holding the next round of talks with Ukraine on June 2 in Istanbul (Türkiye). Kiev is said to be discussing this proposal.
