Ukraine counterattacks widely, Russia deploys forces on all fronts

On the Donetsk direction, the Russian Yug Group of Forces repulsed five attacks by the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 53rd and 110th Mechanized Brigades of the Kiev forces near Kleshcheyevka, Veseloye and Khimik.

The ministry said that up to 175 Ukrainian soldiers, a tank, an armored fighting vehicle and three pickup trucks were disabled. A US-made M777 towed howitzer, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer and a D-30 towed howitzer were also destroyed by counter-battery fire.

In the direction of Zaporozhye, three attacks by the 71st Jaeger Brigade (Ukraine) were repulsed by Russian forces near Verbovoye. Personnel and equipment of the 116th Mechanized Brigade were also targeted near Charivnoye.

According to the Ministry, up to 35 Ukrainian soldiers, 2 armored fighting vehicles and 2 motor vehicles were destroyed. An American-made M109 self-propelled gun, an Akatsiya self-propelled gun, 2 D-30 self-propelled guns and a D-20 towed gun were also destroyed.

In the direction of Krasny Liman, the Russian Tsentr Group of Forces repulsed two attacks by the 63rd and 67th Mechanized Brigades near Chervonaya Dibrova.

The group also targeted several troop gatherings of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade, the 12th Special Forces Brigade and the 5th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine near Torskoye and in the Serebryansky forest.

The Russian Defense Ministry said about 70 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded in the fighting in this direction, adding that two armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks and a D-30 howitzer had been disabled.

In the southern direction of Donetsk, Russia's Vostok Group of Forces repelled an attack by the Ukrainian 110th Territorial Defense Brigade near Priyutnoye.

The group's aviation and artillery also targeted troop concentrations of the 79th Air Assault Brigade and the 72nd Mechanized Brigade near Novomikhailovka and Vladimirovka. Furthermore, a sabotage and reconnaissance group from the 38th Marine Brigade was attacked near Novodonetskoye.

According to the ministry, up to 135 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded. Two pickup trucks and an Msta-B towed howitzer were also destroyed.

In the direction of Kupyansk, aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces targeted the gatherings of the 14th, 32nd Mechanized Brigades and the 25th Airborne Brigades near Zagoruikovka, Ivanovka, Rozovka and Berestovoye.

More than 65 Ukrainian soldiers, two vehicles and a US-made M1097 Avenger air defense system were neutralized in the attacks, the Russian Defense Ministry said. A US-made M109 self-propelled howitzer, two M777 towed howitzers and a D-20 towed howitzer were also destroyed by counter-battery fire.

Additionally, an ammunition depot of the 120th Territorial Defense Brigade of Ukraine was targeted and destroyed near Gatishche.

To date, a total of 475 aircraft and 249 helicopters, 6,945 drones, 438 air defense missile systems, 12,009 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,152 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 6,462 field artillery pieces and mortars have been destroyed during the special military operation.
