On October 7-8, the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, the State Bank of Vietnam branch in Hanoi, and the Department of Industry and Trade, organized the event "Launching the Non-Cash Payment Campaign in Hoan Kiem District," attracting considerable attention from users.
Among these, payment via e-wallets is the most popular method in Vietnam due to its convenient user experience, attractive offers, and widespread acceptance.
At the event, customers also had the opportunity to experience the points-based payment model through the MyPoint application. The MyPoint booth became the biggest attraction at the event, creating a positive media effect among users and sparking interest in smart payment solutions.
Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tâm visits the MyPoint - PayTech booth.
Reportedly, the MyPoint super reward points application, a product of PayTech company co-founded with MobiFone , provides a convenient reward points solution for users across all shopping expenses, using a single common point system.
For every purchase made through the MyPoint app on popular e-commerce platforms like Shopee, Lazada, and Tiki, customers earn up to 30% reward points, providing a smart, economical, and convenient shopping experience.
Additionally, customers can earn points from telecommunication transactions such as topping up their balance or purchasing service packages. The MyPoint points-earning shopping app is completely free for customers and does not require account linking. Reward points can be redeemed for telecommunication offers (phone cards, 4G data) and attractive deals from over 200 leading brands.
It is estimated that thousands of visitors came to the booth to experience the MyPoint application.
Many young people are genuinely attracted to MyPoint's point accumulation and redemption system. They believe that this application is useful, convenient, and necessary in modern society.
" Previously, accumulating points at different stores every time I made a purchase was very inconvenient. The MyPoint app has so many stores listed, so I no longer have to worry about saving points for each purchase at different stores. With just 500 points, I can redeem them for phone top-ups, data, and discount vouchers for various products, so there's no reason not to use MyPoint ," Minh Anh (living in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi) expressed.
Many young people are interested in earning points and spending them through the MyPoint app.
Finally, the 2023 Cashless Payment Street pilot project in Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, was very successful and yielded positive results.
In the coming period, the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee will continue to widely disseminate information and encourage people, organizations, and individuals to conduct business in the district, while also creating conditions for banks and organizations providing cashless payment services to introduce products and services in a healthy competitive manner.
At the same time, proactively assess and recognize cashless payment streets in the district in the coming time; strive to achieve 100% of organizations and individuals operating businesses throughout Hanoi city implementing cashless payments by December 2023.
