Coastal residents use iron bars to tie in front of their houses to prevent damage from strong winds.

On Vo Nguyen Giap and Hoang Sa coastal roads (Son Tra district), and Nguyen Tat Thanh coastal road (Thanh Khe district), people use sturdy iron bars to tie in front of their houses to prevent damage from strong winds. Some hotels use sandbags to block the entrance to the basement to prevent water from flooding inside during heavy rains.

Meanwhile, in the Ton Duc Thang street area (near the Hue Intersection overpass), a low-lying area at risk of flooding during heavy rains, people have used hard plastic sheets to create a "dyke" about 1 meter high in front of their houses to prevent water from flooding during heavy rains.

Many families in the Ton Duc Thang street area use hard plastic sheets to create a "dyke" about 1 meter high to prevent water from flooding into their houses.

Mr. Tran Van Tu (residing on Ton Duc Thang Street) said that, learning from the historic flood in October 2022, when he heard the forecast that heavy rain could cause flooding, he quickly hired someone to erect aluminum pillars and bought plastic sheets higher than 1 meter in the hope of preventing water from flooding into his house.

According to the forecast, from tonight (October 26), Da Nang will start to have heavy rain, then gradually increase in intensity. The most intense and concentrated rain will be concentrated during the day and tomorrow night (possibly reaching 150-300mm/24h, some places over 400mm/24h), warning of the risk of localized rain up to 150mm/3h.
